Last updated: October 8, 20261. Scope and responsibility
Encoded LLC, an Ohio limited liability company (OH LLC No. 5680361), is responsible for the personal information it processes to operate its corporate website, manage business relationships, and provide its services. This General Privacy Policy describes shared practices. A product’s privacy policy supplies details about its features, providers, and retention and controls if it differs from this general description. This policy does not automatically cover independently operated subsidiaries or third-party services.
2. Information we handle
Depending on how you interact with us, information may include contact and business details, account identifiers and settings, content you submit, support correspondence, and subscription and transaction records. Product-specific policies explain additional account, usage, or integration data.
Visiting our websites sends technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, and connection details to the servers and providers delivering them. Our corporate website loads fonts from Google Fonts and icons from jsDelivr; those providers receive browser connection information. Payment providers process payment details under their own policies. For few.bio, Stripe handles card details and Encoded does not receive full card numbers.
3. Purposes and legal bases
We use information to provide and support services, manage accounts and payments, communicate about your relationship with us, understand service performance, prevent fraud and abuse, and meet legal obligations. Product policies explain any analytics or optional features.
Where European Economic Area or United Kingdom data protection law applies, we rely on performing a contract for requested services, legitimate interests for proportionate service improvement, business administration, and security, legal obligations for required records and disclosures, and consent where required for optional activities. You may withdraw consent without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
4. Cookies and outside services
Products may use cookies or browser storage for authentication, preferences, security, and other disclosed features. Their policies describe the specific uses and any choices. You can manage cookies in your browser, although disabling required storage may affect features. Where consent is required for optional cookies or similar technologies, it must be obtained before those technologies are used.
Public content can be accessed by others. External links, integrations, fonts, icons, and embedded media may connect your browser to third-party providers, which process information under their own policies. Review those policies before providing information or enabling an integration.
5. Sharing and corporate transactions
We disclose information as needed to providers supporting hosting, delivery, security, payments, communications, and support; to integrations you request; and to people you choose to share content with. Providers acting on our behalf are authorized to use information for their services to us, subject to applicable contractual and legal safeguards.
We may disclose information to comply with lawful requests, protect rights and safety, or investigate fraud and abuse. Information may also be shared with advisers and a prospective or actual successor in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of the relevant business, subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection safeguards. Ownership changes do not remove applicable privacy obligations. Product-specific policies explain any additional sharing and whether information is sold or used for targeted advertising.
6. Retention, security, and transfers
We retain information for the purposes described here and in the relevant product policy, including providing services, handling disputes, preventing abuse, and meeting accounting and legal requirements. Retention depends on the type of information and the service; product policies give specific periods where applicable. Deletion may be delayed for legally required records and routine backup cycles.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect personal information, but no system guarantees absolute security. Information may be processed outside your country by Encoded or its providers. Where law requires cross-border safeguards, applicable mechanisms such as approved contractual clauses or adequacy decisions must support those transfers. Product policies describe relevant hosting locations.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction of processing, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent and complain to your data-protection regulator. Rights are subject to legal exceptions. Marketing messages, if you receive them, provide an unsubscribe option; necessary service messages may continue.
Send requests to [email protected], identifying the product and account involved. We may verify your identity and will respond within the applicable legal deadline. If we process information on behalf of a business customer, we may refer the request to that customer or assist it in responding.
8. Children, changes, and contact
Account age requirements are set by each product. few.bio requires account holders to be at least 16. Our corporate website is intended for general business information, and we do not seek personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information in violation of a product’s age requirements so we can review and take appropriate action.
We will post policy updates with a revised date and provide notice of material changes as required by law. Changes do not authorize incompatible use of previously collected information without any notice or consent required by law. For privacy questions or requests, contact Encoded LLC at [email protected].
