Our philosophy

Encoded makes software for people.

We believe good software should be useful, simple, reliable, and respectful to those who use it. We care about the small details because they add up to products that people genuinely enjoy using.

We respect your privacy and only collect what we have a reason to collect. We do not sell your data, and we believe people shouldn't have to trade their privacy to use the internet.

We build stuff that we would want to use ourselves. We would never pursue growth or profits at the expense of those who use our products.

We're independently owned, which gives us the freedom to think and code long term, and to make decisions based on what we think is right for you, not just the biggest profit number. We want to build products that can stick around and make the internet even just a little better.
